If the amount of required inputs exceeds 16, then a [[LOCON 100 (English)|LOCON 100]] has to be used, provided that the number of inputs without the external program selection is less than 16. 9 encoder inputs +1 Prog.Enable input + 5 program inputs = total of 15 inputs.
